So it's december, which generally means christmas stuff is happening. In Helston especially - we (luke, shiona and I) went to a very special christmas 'turning the lights on' event in helston main street last week which was pretty novel.
They closed off the street for a few hours (4 cars were very inconvenienced) so they could have fireworks and stalls and hot food and choirs and drumming bands, and horses dressed up as reindeer. There was even a mobile pipe organ playing less than christmassy tunes, but the thought was there....
Someone also felt it was a good idea to provide all the children of the village with light sabres - i'm amazed at the amount of ways there are to hurt yourself with those things. But a good time was had by all, and now Helston looks very festive and nice, and we're all getting into the christms spirit. Even more exciting today is the fact that the sun is shining. Its the return of an old friend. And patients are a little scarce today so i have time to enjoy it. (Lucky i'm sitting next to a giant window, otherwise it would seem that blogging was counterproductive).
Also, I've accepted a job in Bournemouth for next year - still in the south of england but much closer to everything travelwise, and so luke is now looking for employment. We'll start up there in Jan once we get back from Germany.
So all is peachy, though no snow just yet. fingers crossed for germany, though i'm assured i wont be disappointed by many a winter fan.
Write to me!
Love to all!

Hey Rach! Seems like you're enjoying yourself! Things certainly seem to be festive there. How long is your job for next year going for? Is it more contracting work or are you going to be full time or something?

So you're off to Germany to see Uncle Andy! Hope you have heaps of fun, and that there aren't any snow storms to hinder your travels!

Missing having your company here, but I guess the blog keeps us up to date, and we still get to enjoy your witty humour! :) Yay!

Hope you have an enjoyable Christmas! I'm still not ready for it to be December, but here it is, and Christmas is creeping closer every day. Hope I feel festive enough by the time it rolls around!

PS. I'm almost out of the White Chocolate spread I bought when I was in London with you! If it's not too much trouble, I would adore it if you could find out if you can ship a jar here! Let me know and I will pay you!! (and not just in compliments!!)

Hey Rach!
We're leaving TOMORROW!!
We are in UK 24th Jan - 30th Jan. Are you able to come up to London or do we need to come down to you? If we come down can we crash for a night? I'm on email while we're away, hope we can meet up!

Hello Rach,

A winter Christmas! That sounds great! (although judging from the weather here, it's winter's not too far off here too! - it hasn't been much of a spring, and summer looks to have been kept away also!).

Things sounds like it is settling down a little, which is great. Good luck to Luke with the job hunting.

How long will you be in Germany for? No doubt you will have a blast there :)

Hopefully I'll be able to have the time between Christmas and new year's off. I reckon I deserve a break!

Have a happy, happy Christmas! Say Hi to Luke for me!

Love, Viv
